The flooring is mostly done. Two crews of three men each came in and finished it by roughly 7 PM last Monday. We came up shy on baseboards by about 42', and 22' on some trim that will go around the fireplace and the den bookshelves. The calculations were okay, but they didn't take defective boards and accidental drops and dents by workers into account. We'll also have the forgotten door-stoppers reinstalled before I put a thumb-lock through the wall. However, the store is temporarily out of materials at the moment, so I'll have to take a half-day off from work next month to babysit the crew when they come back to finish the job.
The acoustics in the house are different. Without the carpeting, there's a bit of an echo now. Aside from some bits of dirt and dust leftover from the work in seldom-used rooms (and three sweepings/moppings/dustbustings), though, there's a noticeable difference in our allergies. There's virtually no trace of Koko-related odors anywhere, and what little there is may just be in my head.
The prostate is normal. Just don't ask me how I could make it through 33 years and 5 months of life without knowing just what that particular examination entails. Eep. Well, it was good for the doctor. He said so himself.
I have tried C2, and I like it. It tastes enough like the Real Thing where I can't tell the difference, aside from a slight aftertaste. Half the sugar. Half the calories. Half the explosive power of C4. What more could you ask of a drink? Oh wait, I'm not 12 anymore . . .
Actually, Bev and I thought we detected a hint of green coloring in the C2 foam the other night. Weird.
We took third at Trivia tonight, though we were perfect until the middle of the 4th round. Oh well.
Six more days before Bev heads back. :-/
