Secrets of the Lost Ledgers (The Glass Library Book 5)
I just finished Secrets of the Lost Ledgers, the fifth book in the Glass Library series, by C. J. Archer. This book takes place in London in Summer, 1920, shortly after the fourth book.
Highlights:
- Sylvia is reading The Dung Beetle in Ancient Egyptian Culture as a Representation of the Concept of Transformation and Rebirth.
- Daisy suggests that Sylvia use an invitation to a ball that Daisy received: You can use mine. They won’t know you’re not Daisy Carmichael, daughter of Lord Carmichael.
Sylvia: You received an invitation to a ball where the hosts don’t know you? - Gabe's parents took a 6 month trip to America to delay his wedding to Ivy, hopefully ending his engagement. (It worked.)
Looking forward to the sixth (and final) book, due out in March: The Journal of a Thousand Years. Maybe Gabe's parents will put in an appearance!
