(no subject)
My homesickness is manifesting itself as an obsession with Houlihan's! It's ridiculous. I am thinking about Houlihan's all the time, daydreaming about going there for lunch, etc. I think I actually AM going to go for dinner tonight, after I call the airport and find out whether I can even get to it. It might be past the point where you need a boarding pass. However, Houlihan's has remembered our anniversary (of me joining the email club!) and sent me a coupon for free dessert, and I do not wish to disappoint.
I am struggling a lot with what I should do when things wrap up here. I'm done with engineering, as most of you know, and giving serious serious thought to getting certified to teach high school. I was thinking math, but Spam gave me the super-awesome idea of Earth Science! So right now I'm trying to figure out where I want to teach. NY and NJ are my obvious main choices, with CT and then MA following. I can live rent-free in NY while I get certified, and I could then live in Jersey and work in the city if I wanted to.
At least I'll be driving again soon, which will open up my options amazingly! Prepare to rejoice on February 20th, when I'll be at the DMV as soon as it opens to pick my license up! I hope I remember how to drive a car.
