I never update this thing anymore. But, I was thinking...hey! maybe I should.
I went to the city on Wednesday, and had such a culturally enriching day! My brother and I got student rush tickets to see a matinee of The Wedding Singer (first row, $26.50!). We had some time before the show started, so we went to the Met for about an hour. If I could go there everyday, I would. There's just so much to see!
So then we saw The Wedding Singer which was AWESOME! I was a bit apprehensive, movies turned into musicals don't always pan out well, but this did. The book, music, dancing...everything was great. Steven Lynch stars in it, and he was great, I was definitely impressed. I got a picture with him after the show too, he was very nice - taking time out to sign autographs and take pics with many people.
After the show, we met up with a family friend, Seyna, for a lovely Thai dinner, and then Seyna and I went to the New York City Ballet! She volunteers there, and has been trying to get me to go for basically my whole life. It was absolutely wonderful, I was blown away. The show was three dances by three very different choreographers, so I got to see a whole range of performances. I am definitely more a fan of contemporary ballet, I have discovered.
So now, that excitement is over, and I am in limbo, since I leave for camp on the 20th. I am happy to be going, but at the same time I am dreading it (just a little). But that's the lazy part of me talking. Plus, I hate packing. I'll be really glad to be out of my house, and making money. I need to stretch like crazy.
I had a very strange dream this morning that Ian McKellan wanted to have an affair with me. What the hell is that about??
