Glee - 1x03 - Acafellas
To be honest, I thought this was the weakest episode so far; however! It was still very, very good and may require a few rewatches for me to be able to entirely decide on it. I thought the Acafellas stuff was kind of random, but it was cool to get Puck into the swing of things (and hey! He can really sing!)
I didn’t really feel the choreographer storyline, and I thought it was weird that Rachel and Mercedes would suddenly be so trusting of Quinn and the Cheerios intentions. I mean, seriously? How many years have these girls been bullying you now?
The two things that I really, really loved though? Mercedes singing ‘Bust Your Windows’ and Kurt coming out to Mercedes at the end. The kid who plays Kurt? Idk who he is, but he can really act. I believed every word he said at the end, and I can’t say that often about this show, lol (because, come on, in some places the acting does leave a lot to be desired). Kurt is kind of shaping up to be one of my favourites (also, I need Kurt/Puck fic in my life really bad)
The Beautiful Life - 1x01 - Pilot
DID ANYONE ELSE WATCH THIS? I HOPE SO.
The CW is really churning out some trashy and addictive television at the moment. I’m not sure whether to be pleased or horrified or some combination of both. It was a lot of fun though, and I approved so hard of Zac Posen’s cameo.
I’m also really happy to see Mischa Barton getting work again. I hardcore loved The OC, and it was sad to see her go so far off the rails after she left the show. I don’t think she’s a particularly good actress, but she’s okay enough for this sort of show, and she fits the washed-up model role quite well.
I’m hoping a fandom assembles itself at some point, because I’d really like to see some Chris/Cole fic materialise in front of me. Preferably not written by me. (or, y’know, anyone/Cole. That boy is super hot).
I'm thinking I might condense my episode reactions~ into one post a week, lol. I feel like I'm spamming. Also, if I were to do episode reactions for Australian series' like 'Rush' or 'City Homicide' or 'Satisfaction' would anyone actually be interested in squeeing with me? Idk, I feel so un-Australian just posting about American shows, haha.
