which way to go
I meant to post this the other day, but completely spaced. I am clearly ridiculous.
Glee - 1x02 - Showmance
I was ridiculously excited for this; I’m not even going to lie.
First of all, ouch on so many levels. I mean, Will and his wife, Will and Emma and omg, Rachel and Finn. I just *hands* I’m incoherent.
I’m not sure what I can say that hasn’t been said already, to be honest. This show is such a bitter, humiliating and just outright sad collection of people and stories, and the only reason it’s so easy to stomach is that it’s sugar-coated in so much good-humour and fun. It has some of the most engaging characters I’ve seen in a while, and it’s one of those shows where you want to go on the series journey with them.
Now, onto the much more fun side, OMG, THERE ARE SO MANY PEOPLE TO SHIP ON THIS SHOW. I mean, come on, Finn/Rachel, Will/Emma, Puck/Kurt, Tina/Quinn, RACHEL/FINN/QUINN, EVERYONE/EVERYONE. Omg, I’m so excited for potential fic.
90210 - 2x01 - To New Beginnings
Okay, do you know what’s awesome? How Adrianna, Naomi and Silver are apparently the new West Beverly Hills Plastics or something. This isn’t even sarcastic; it is so cool to see a girlish friendship emerge without Annie. The first half of the episode was pretty much just them looking rich and awesome, and for some reason, I wasn’t complaining. It was just fun. On the other hand, do you know who didn’t look awesome? Jason and Teddy. Neither are attractive and neither are intriguing characters, not even in a trashy, teen soap way. Not a fan yet.
We got our couples set up and torn down again with a staggering ease that only the CW seems capable of. Dixon and Silver got back together and broke up again, Adrianna and Navid almost had sex, then didn’t, and Naomi went through three potential love-interests all in the space of 45 minutes. That’s got to be a record. Although, the Liam/Naomi storyline is one that I’m pretty damn fond of, even though it’s cliché and kind of dumb, it’s also really, really sweet. I also am a bit fond of Dixon and Silver on the show, idk, I just think they’re cute.
And, um, Annie? She continues to make me wish she had been on the other side of the car, but what can you do? Supposedly they’re going to devote a lot of time to Annie coping with the hit and run? I hope not, but if they’re trying to make me feel bad for her, they’re doing an awfully bad job of it. In the new promo when Naomi’s all, “I’m going to make your life hell~” I was kind of like, “please do.” Idek.
All in all, it was a really good first ep! And by ‘good’, I mean, like, trashy good, but good! Someone else made a comment that they like it when they’re shows about rich people revel in excess, because who wants to watch rich people being emo and restricted about their wealth? And I actually really agree, and it’s fun to see Naomi and Adrianna and Silver embracing their inner rich-bitches.
Plus, I know not a lot of people on my flist are massive fans of the new 90210, but I don't think you need to be a fan to enjoy this picture.
Naomi and Liam, you guys! They're so cute! (fyi, naomi is the blonde in the middle with the :D face, and liam is the hot guy next to her). I seriously love how fucked up they are on the show. Liam being all angst-ridden, and Naomi being all infatuated with him, even when she's kind of being a huge bitch. I seriously need fic everywhere ever.
