It's nearing the end of winter here, and we're already in the thirties (degrees celsius), something tells me we're going to have a hot summer which, omg, yay! :D I love the heat. Also, hey! It's my birthday in two weeks! I'm turning 19, how weird is that? Gettin' ollldd. It's going to be my last year of teenagehood. :') It's bizarre.
Anyway, more interesting things:

Better Days Have Left Us by
deadduck008. PG. Human!Beast/Belle.
She can almost still picture the way he used to look.
(See also: the way he used to look at her.)
&
This is so, so perfect. It’s tragic and heartbreaking and incredibly short, but it almost works that much better as a result. It’s what happens when a fairytale stops being a fairytale, and I love it so, so much.

Untitled by
paperclipbitch. PG. Blair & Serena. Gen?
Especially since she seems to be able to smile and get anything she wants, and sure it’s not quite the existence she wanted but writing to Blair becomes secondary because Blair is sad and Blair is tired and Serena is pretending to sparkle.
&
Set pre-season 1, with Serena in boarding school, and Blair at home with Nate. This is just so bittersweet and it feels real. It doesn’t introduce anything new, rather it just explores this separation very gently and in a way that feels very adolescent, and I really like that.

all that she sees or seems (is but a dream within a dream) by
fivewhatfive NC17. Blair/Serena
Blair knows she is hardly the first person Serena van der Woodsen has gotten on her knees for, but sometimes-if the mood is right and her empire isn't falling apart at the hands of amateur harpies-Blair indulges in the fantasy of being the very last.
&
People do seem to struggle with getting Blair’s voice right, that balance of harshness, bitterness, manipulative tendencies and insecurity, but this does it very well. The dialogue at the end of the sex scene as well is biting and perfect.

A Lack of Options by
triptohere. Light R. Freddie/Effy/Cook.
Emily couldn’t decide if Effy held all the aces, or none of them. She wondered if Effy even knew.
&
Ouch. This is really, really good. It’s set series three, and it approaches the relationship between Effy and the boys in a way I haven’t seen before. Effy’s empty, and everyone wants her anyway, without actually wanting her.
Petals on the Road to Redemption by
corleones. R. Freddie/Effy/Cook.
His hand rides up her thigh and she lies back and thinks of England- or at least a Freddie- shaped England when he slips his tongue between her lips. It’s soft, quiet and he cradles her head when he kisses her like she’ll break between his fingers and she muffles a sob against the corner of his mouth.
Nothing spins. The world floats lazy and when he reaches over her to switch off the light, she thinks his bed is all that she likes better.
&
This actually does a better job at capturing the Freddie/Effy/Cook relationship better than the show does. It’s destructive, and awful and Effy actually can’t decide between the two of them, not because they’re both great guys, but because they’re both flawed and imperfect. They all treat each other badly, and that works so goddamn well.

another fanart rec! Both a Sid/Cassie and a Naomi/Emily artwork, and both are gorgeous. Penned by
