Weekend on a stick
This weekend was a little bit of a reunion tour. Finally got to spend time with friends from "back in the day" that we don't see too often anymore.
Friday: Aaron and I headed down south after work to Kaleb and Stephanie's new place in Mount Lake Terrace. Ben also came from his pad on Mercer Island to join the party. We didn't waste any time jumping into the Karaoke. Many songs were sung. Some beautiful, some painful to listen to ie: Ben and I wailing our lungs out to the Offspring - Self Esteem :-P
We all had a lot of fun! Later on Kaleb and Steph's cool new neighbors came over to visit for a bit. We played some Guitar Hero and heard an amazing story of the dangers of squirting others with wiper fluid :-D
After that it was "Lights out Fellas!" and we all passed out for the night
Saturday: I awoke the next morning from a dream where someone was winning an insane amount of tickets from an arcade machine. The noise of the machine however turned out to be Ben's alarm on his phone. After we were finally all up and around Kaleb make us a delicious breakfast of Choco-chip Panker cakes, Sramby eggs, and Toaster Stroodles. Yummers!
Then it was off to the park for a bit of crazy frisbee and a sweet little game off 2 on 2 Football. I seriously can't believe how sore I am just from our running around. Guess I'm still more out of shape then I thought :-P
With time running late we called the game and headed out to catch Lewis' reception. Thats right! ol' Lou Dog got married. We showed up in Sedro just in time to meet everyone gathered in the parking lot. Lewis looked great and happy as ever with his new wife. We got some pictures then went down to River Front Park to hangout and visit with everyone for a bit. Good thing theres no age limit on the park toys down there, cause we were all over those suckers. Its always fun to play like your a kid again.
After the park we hit another bit of Sedro nostalgia and stopped by Hal's Drive-in for some delicious food and intense shakes. On our way out of town, Aaron and I showed our love for the old bowling alley. Don't worry, it was like that when we got there :-P
Aaron and I got back to Bham and I decided to just crash at his place. We had some Sobe then ordered a pizza and watched a few movies. Not a bad way to end the night.
Sunday: I woke up and decided to head home for a bit. After a bit of relaxing I realized I had no plans for the day. So I called up Kari and we when shopping :-P
People are F'ing insane! I realized very quickly why I don't go shopping more often. It's like nobody realizes that theres a whole world of people around them. No, they'll just stop and stand anywhere to look at something FOREVER! not realizing their holding up EVERYONE else around them! Ugh! I HATE PEOPLE!!
Anyway. It wasn't all bad, I picked up a few things I needed from Costco and Kari got her brand new Laptop computer on clearance for $400. Not a bad deal.
We went and picked up Lil' Erin and went to Mallards for some Ice cream. Then I took them on a walk down to the park. Along the way we had some fun sweet talking a coke machine. but it completely snubbed us so we got pissed and left.
After our walk Erin and Kari left back to the Valley. I found a Voicemail inviting me to go play some Halo with Adrienne and Hodges so I headed out. On my way I was surprised by Lauren and Maggie who were just getting back from Vancouver BC. I flipped them a friends bird and continued on my way :-P Seriously, I was just joking when I said F'off. You know I love ya! :-D
After repeatedly getting my ass handed to me at Halo we pulled out some Guitar Hero and rocked out a bit. Before long it was nearing my bedtime and I came home.
Another top notch weekend in the bag. Another promising one peaking its head around the corner. Hope everyone else's was as Super Fantasticles and mine :-D
