This weekend was a lot of fun. I thought for sure I'd end up sitting at home with nothing to do, but that wasn't the case at all. On friday I went and saw
Transformers with Kari and Erin. I wasn't really impressed with the movie itself, But it was fun going out while being able to stay off my then still sore legs from the
parade.
Saturday, I got to go play frisbee at Boulevard park. It was freaking beautiful out! And despite tripping into a tumble going after a rouge frisbee, I had a lot of fun. Frisbee was followed up with some delicious smoothies. Then I made a trip down south to take my parents to see
Die Hard. It was pretty fun to just go and hang out as a family. We don't do it all that often, mostly cause we're not all that interested in the same things most of the time. But I think it'd be fun to start going out and doing stuff with them a little more frequently.
After the movie I came back to B'ham and was about to call it a night when I got invited out to the bars. I figured "why the hell not?" :-P I got to learn me a bit of Hebrew and play a little drunken chess, Which I kicked ass at. Quite the fun evening.
Sunday I slept in a bit. After finally getting up and around, I got introduced to Avellino coffee shop, not to be mistaken with Avalon across the street :-P I think thats the best cream cycle drink I've ever had. Yummy! Next was a little walking tour of downtown, including one of the used book stores. Wow! That place was seriously crazy with books! Like some insane book labyrinth. I don't think I'd be surprised to find out the whole building was actually made of books! LoL, anyway... After crazy book world, it was back to my place for some Guitar Hero and Wii Sports. Later on I met up with Aaron, Chad and Kayser at Boundary Bay for some great food and conversation.
Just another awesome Bellingham weekend. I wish they could last longer.
