Adventures in sparkly *and* Rainbow polishes . . . including my first attempt at water-marbled nails

Sadly, the sparkles and rainbows didn't happen in the same manicures

So, since it's the holiday season, new nail polishes are coming out like you wouldn't believe, and an ungodly amount of them are sparkly . . . and since I joined the sparkly rainbow boyband train, I generally fail at resisting sparkles.

My wallet hates me right now.

OMG the water marbling is gorgeous!

Uhmm want to brain more than that but ... busy is as busy does.

But the house is sort of clean. I haven't managed ANY training at all and OMG it is THIS Sunday. *dies*

... and all I want to do now is my nails. Neeed/want new shades, colours and glitters though *sigh*

OMG, you have another vertical race, right? Good luck, you&hearts I am so impressed by that! And you've got so much on your plate!

Nails are fun! It's almost 10pm and I was going to try water marbling again--it may be a bit late . . . but I don't have to teach tomorrow, so why not??

What kinds of polishes do you generally gravitate towards?

yes right now I am panicking inside because I feel just not up to it. I *am* doing my best to push those thoughts aside and just concentrate on finishing the climb. One stair at a time. After this ... no more. I started to put some training in about Weds night. Which is of course too little too late. BUT some practice, is better than none at all, at least my knees and my legs have been given some kind of pre-race warm up

I am so impressed you did another vertical marathon&hearts This is something I both love the idea of and am not sure I would be up to! But I'd like to try sometime. I should see if such a thing occurs near here!

a linear holo is a holographic polish where the light breaks into a rainbow-like prismatic pattern like these.

I always enjoy the rainbow-y ness of them. The linear effect is often better seen in sunlight, though not always--when I wear Milani holos, I swear they look better in fluorescent lights!

I think the Boy and I are going to the Sherlock Holmes movie tonight! Should be fun!

Those boots are the most awesome thing I think I've ever seen!! Who knew such beautiful boots existed??

AND! Your rainbow bowl of polish!! It's gorgeous! And gorgeously arranged! I have a nail polish buddy in S'pore, and she says they are egregiously expensive there O__o

And I love the hi tech too! Have you had a chance to wear it outdoors? It has rainbows in it!! I'm such a sucker for a linear holo <3 But I've never tried it over another green--perhaps it shall be a project for the weekend. Today I just have a translucent pink jelly, NYX girls bella, because I broke my right thumbnail so short that I kind of feel like nudes and pinks, maybe pastels are all I can wear in class right now. On the other hand, I've been considering the joys of forcing myself to wear all of my untrieds until I have worn everything. The only problem with that is that I would then want to switch them out every day and I'm not sure my cuticles would survive--and it would eat time like crazy
