Didn't get as much done today as I'd hoped--I actually think I need to get more shelves and drawer units before I try to unpack a ton of stuff because I have nowhere to put most of my stuff. Luckily garage sale season looms. I did get some stuff taken care of, though, and plan to do more tomorrow morning.

I have a spice rack built onto my kitchen wall, and now I'm not sure what to do with the spinny one I got with my spices. It seems a waste to throw it out, but I really do not have a place to store it. Any thoughts? Or is anyone in the market for a spinny spice rack? Also I feel the urge to make a Dune reference at this juncture.

I did make a tasty albeit very simple, boring pasta casserole (just noodles, leftover sauce and cheddar, in the oven until cheese is melted and crunchy at the edges) and drank half a beer before realizing that yes, I am the lightest weight lightweight to ever live and put the rest in the fridge.

Kinda online-window-shopping for swimsuits but I think I'm going to stop because it's all making me low-self-esteemy. If you have a prominent tummy you're supposed to wear tankinis. If you have a small bust, you're not supposed to wear tankinis. What do you want from me, fashion gurus? (I know, I know, one-pieces. STFU.) To say nothing of the cottage cheese thighs. I should just get an old-timey Victorian bathing dress. Bloomers are the new string bikini, guys.

I don't even know why I'm bothering to get worked up since my actual swimming skills are quite limited, but I keep thinking that I have friends this summer and may go splashing around somewhere, and the last time I bought a swim suit was like eighth grade, and trust me, it doesn't fit so well. /whiiiiiiiine

ON THE PLUS, less vain side, the new Doctor Who was awesome. MARK SHEPPARD, I DID NOT EXPECT TO SEE YOU.

Also, Evie was telling us what sounds her toys make. Puppy goes "woof," bunny goes "op-op-op", the bus goes "vrrrrrrrrrr," the Count goes "ah ah ah!" and her stuffed ghost goes "woooOOOOoooo." Just thought you should know.

Also-also, one day she grabbed Becky's hand, tugged her to the stairs to the TV room, and started barking. This apparently means, "I want to watch Blues Clues!"

And yesterday in church she made me and my sister hold hands. Still not sure why. She's an odd duck. (Ducks, of course, go "Kwa.")
