Well it finally happened.

... Jason asked me to marry him. And I said yes (durr).

On Friday, May 25th, Jason sent me for a "Fit for a Queen" package at Merle Norman. I had a spa manicure/pedicure, full European facial (complete with extractions *shudders*) and an hour long massage. I got out of there at about 6.15pm and went to my house to pick up my change of clothes and then I went to Jason's.

We had a reservation for 8 o'clock at The Calgary Tower for dinner in the Panarama Dinning Room. We got a booth and I thought that during dinner, Jason may propose. But I kept telling myself not to get my hopes up in case he didn't. Jason and I shared the asparagus and portebella salad. For my main course, I had the duck with a wild mushroom risotto (so delish!) and Jason had the Atlantic Salmon with garlic mashed potatoes.

After dinner, we went onto the observation deck. At The Calgary Tower, they have a glass floor that you can stand out on and (I think) that it is 575 feet in the air. I HATE heights, but Jason took my hand and made me stand on it. He took both my hands and said, "Kaytee, you have made me the happiest man alive. I want to make you as happy as you have made me." (*goes down on one knee*) "Kaytee Andrée Gillis, will you marry me?"

The ring is absolutely beautiful, having 12 diamonds in it. Now, you are all thinking, HOLY SHIT! 12 DIAMONDS?! 6 of them are 1/4 carat, 2 of them are 1/3 carat and 4 of them are 1/2 carat (I think). As soon as I take a picture of it, I will post a picture of it.

I am honestly the happiest woman alive right now. There is nothing that could bring me down.
