Due to Weather Issues, our local Fourth of July festivities have all been canceled or postponed, turning what was supposed to be a busy outdoor day with people into a quiet rainy day at home. I have a massive headache and also nearly fainted this morning for no apparent reason, and the museling is wiped from a long week of camp, so being at home ( Read more... )

Oh, I'll just distill down all of my very complicated feelings and thoughts into one polite, non-intrusive, hopefully thoughtful and meaningful enough that he hears it instead of it being lost in the blur like it surely will be sentence of thanks and appreciation, like I did when I met Darren a couple of years ago. He's made an impact on me, and I think he's pretty darn special, but I kind of don't expect him to care about it. :) But I do want to tell him that I really enjoy watching him do all these things he loves to do, so I'll say that, hope I get a smile, and move on.

But man, if we could have an actual conversation as equals? We would have so much to talk about. :)

I think it's great that you're bringing a student along and are still finding a way to express yourself. I know you have a lot to say and that he's meant a lot to you. :)

I think it's great how much he's changed your life in such wonderful ways. :) I do think you'll get more than six seconds; from what I hear, when people come with kids they get more attention, and a kid with a learning disability plus you as a teacher is an exciting combo for him. :)
