This is not the July 4th you're looking for.

Due to Weather Issues, our local Fourth of July festivities have all been canceled or postponed, turning what was supposed to be a busy outdoor day with people into a quiet rainy day at home. I have a massive headache and also nearly fainted this morning for no apparent reason, and the museling is wiped from a long week of camp, so being at home isn't the worst thing in the world apart from me not having much food in the house to serve us, since we were supposed to be out. Somehow we shall survive. I'm very glad I'm not out wandering around in the sun, at least. :)

There's other good news. I might be able to go to Chris Colfer's local booksigning after all, about which I am wildly ambivalent (because I really deeply hate gatherings of fans behaving badly, plus I hate waiting in line for hours, plus I would like an actual conversation instead of six seconds of chatting if I'm lucky)... but the stars seem to have aligned so that I can go and it be a vaguely reasonable process, and it's Chris Colfer, whom I was supposed to have met in VIP circumstances three times now - and wow is it unlike me even to want to meet actors; this fandom, man, I just love it so much - and whom I adore, so taking this opportunity to say thank you to him seems like the right thing for me to do, because who knows if I'll have another chance with Glee ending. So... yay! Chris Colfer!

Also, liz_in_progress and I made plans to run away overnight to see Adam Lambert and Queen (or Queen and Adam Lambert, depending on where your priorities lie) later this month, which is super exciting! Road trip! Adam Lambert! Queen! Liz!

But man, the most exciting thing right now would be if I could just go take a nap, because nearly fainting makes me feel like such crap.

Hope your day is a good one. :)

squee with me, fm in rl
