wesleysgirl and I just finished the first draft of the Angel/Wes story we've been working on for months. It clocks in at just shy of 112,000 words. I vaguely remember that it was supposed to be a relatively short fic. Oops? I'd say we'll probably cut it down some in editing, but when I edit I almost always make things longer, so... Eep. Big fic. It's the length of a novel.
And now we have to re-read it and edit it... *bites her lip*
It's always a mixed bag of emotions when I get to the end of a big project. On the one hand, it's wonderful to see a story that I've been thinking about for months come to its full fruition. On the other hand, I've been living with this story for so long. I kind of feel adrift. What do you mean there isn't another tag to wait for?

It looks like we'll be heading back to the world of reality_bends for our next joint project, by the way. We think we'll be tackling the story of Dawn's first visit to NYC to see the boys.
