Okay, maybe not so much with the bears. I have a teddy bear. Does that count? (Yes, I'm almost thirty and still have a teddy bear. Shut up.)
A lot of people have been making posts in the past couple of days wanting to know who is reading their journal or talking about what filters they have. It's giving me a headache trying to keep up... or that could just be the weather. Anyway, in case I missed someone's post while skimming overenthusiastically, let me be clear - if you're on my friends list, I read your posts. Not always the day you write them, but I keep lots of tabs open for posts that I want to read when I have time. I click on most cut-tags as they scroll by. The only time I ever read with filters is when I'm coming back from a vacation, in which case I do filter out many of my communities to let me catch up more easily. I try to comment on people's posts if I have something to say. Sometimes (some might say frequently) I comment even when I don't. :)
One nice thing I'm seeing out of these posts is that lurkers are coming out of the woodwork and saying hello despite being nervous about commenting in general. I've always been of the opinion that lurkers are people, too, and should be allowed to lurk if they want to. I certainly lurk on some communities and lists. Still, I'd like to make sure y'all know that I'm always delighted to receive (non-flaming - I'm the only flaming one in this LJ!) comments from people I don't know well or at all. I see my LJ as a sort of front porch; if I'm hanging out here, you're more than welcome to come join me and talk about whatever. In fact, I hope that you will. I like to get to know people.
Everybody on the same page? Good.

Look, a dancing bear!
