Watching the Colbert Report tonight what did I see?

3,000 children die every day from Malaria - $10 builds a bed net, sends it to Africa, and gets it installed. That's two drinks. My goodness. (I've had friends who spent some decent time in different parts of Africa and a couple got malaria. A few pills later and they were relatively okay, so it still amazes me that we allow so many people to die from something so easily preventable and even treatable.)
I love me some good solid charities, ngos, grass roots movements, community activism, and all that other good-helping-people stuffs, so sign me up! huzzah.
