Wednesday has been good so far...

Well, I'm going to recap tomorrow a bit first :D

Creative Writing seminar was great :D I was rather scared to begin with, because our tutor did the "doom and gloom" beginning approach, threatening and stuff :) But she's very nice really, even if she did make us write things on the spur of the moment and then read them out! Surprisingly, this was quite fun, as we all knew each others' wouldn't exactly be polished, but nonetheless I was impressed with my offerings - so much so that I've put them in my writing journal! Go check it out if you want :)

After that, I went to Writer's Guild, where I read out my weird fantasy-not piece (you have to have read it - it's entitled 'The Narrow Line', and will probably be on my journal when I've played with it a bit). I was SO BRIGHT RED from nervousness and stuff, and I kept stumbling over words, but I got through it :D The others seemed interested - I figure if they hated it entirely, they wouldn't have commented. A lot of the things they were saying made perfect sense, and it was great to get a few different ideas of how to approach things. It also helped that some of the older members read some of their writing, and so we felt on a level rather than in a sort of hierarchy, which happened a bit on Friday. So yeah! I'm going to make some of the changes. Some people even got vaguely what it was on about! Though there were some excellent ideas for making it a little more, subtly obvious.
I also learned from this the value of reading something aloud. So many times I wanted to stop and change a word or something, end a sentence because it was too long, but I had to keep reading! So I shall do this to all my writing from now on (if I can be bothered :D). It's a great way of hearing it differently, because you hear what is there, and not what is in your head and you think is there.

The social was good too, I now know all their names! But yeah ;D Twas all good.

Until I came online and didn't go to bed until 3am. BAD HEATHER.

And then got woken up at about 10 by Michael ringing me and then chatting for like an hour or something :D Which was fine, but I was dying for a drink!

And then, half way through that, there's a knock at my door. I, in my pyjamas, answer it to see a man asking if I need my light repairing. Five minutes later, he's gone, it's done and I have light! YES!

I am quite glad my pj's aren't too embarrassing today though.

Plans for today that will inevitably fail:
- go to library, print off stuff for English seminar and do the work
- go to Spar and shop a bit
- do laundry (might try County again)
- watch Merlin :D Because I want to

Just ordered most of the rest of my textbooks off Amazon, managed to cut it down with student discounts and free delivery and stuff to just under £30, so not too bad :D So they'll be here soonish I reckon. I also need the Creative Writing textbook, but I'm thinking of spending my shiny new book vouchers on it instead.

I stil haven't decided if I'm going back for Speech Day ><

My icon is <3 but also evol in that it makes me want to write ><

I'm really hungry (haven't eaten for over 12 hours). And mega thirsty. So I need to stop this and get something to eat and drink.

I was impressed at my MAD SKILLZ yesterday - I cooked sausages :D And they're nice. I still have some. (Lunch or tea? Hmm... must be tea. ><) I also started reading my Dante's 'Inferno'. Well, the introduction, because it is like half the book. Quite interesting so far though.

So yeah. I'll go now! :D
