SPIFFY NEW LAPTOP!!!!!!
My grin is practically intercontinental.
OK, so typing with this keyboard is going to take some getting used to, but IT'S SO LIGHT.
And 17" is MASSIVE SCREEN SIZE. I feel like I can see EVERYTHING. In, like, THE WORLD.
Vista is mildly exciting me (I'm sure this will wear off when I actually want to do something, you know, USEFUL, but right now? It is great!).
Mmmm... new laptop smell! *breathes deeply*
So world, I introduce you to Peter Jack Compaq, my new laptop :) Known as 'Peter', 'Petey', or 'baby'. :D
YES I'M GOING GOOEY.
I've never had a computer of my very own before, let alone one as AMAZINGLY FAST or FUNKY AS FUCK as this one. It's shiny. It's brand new. It keeps making exciting little noises. It doesn't whirr AT ALL. It has a webcam. It's so LIGHT. It can have more than one tab open at once without crashing. I'm going to download iTunes and MSN and stuff in a minute, so presumably it's shine will quickly tarnish before the might of my music collection, BUT STILL.
I love it. It's so much better than Old Jack could've been. It has a funky sleeve to keep it in. It has a soft little cloth TO CLEAN IT WITH.
The wireless connection took 2 seconds to do. Every part of it looks shiny and new, especially the screen. Vista has some sort of freaky/funky transparency thing going on which is rather rocking my world.
I LOVE IT.
