All things considered they don't really have control of us.

Unless they're perfectly content to see us fight amongst ourselves, which honestly wouldn't surprise me. It's a hell of a lot easier to control people with fear when there's internal arguments going on, too.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was the whole point behind taking the chips out of the people you're talking about. Nothing like throwing the masses into a panic by throwing a couple wolves into the flock.
