It feels like I'm stuck in a movie!
I saw ol'Chucky Ragan on Thursday at some CD store and that was loads of fun. He played a few songs and one or two that I actually knew. It was cool, though, just him and a guitar and maybe forty people. No, not even. Thirty, tops. Well, I dunno.. I can't count.
Anyway, it was relatively enjoyable.. this being my first CD store thing. Haha. After, I bought the live CD and got the ticket for said show on Sunday. That was even more fun.
Ben Nichols of Lucero was there doing an acoustic set and it was pretty freaking awesome. Then Chuck did his thing and, again, sweet. I wish Ben would have played longer, though, haha. His set was decent I just didn't know most of the songs.
I went with Jack, Taylor, Taylor's boss, Benny, Nick, Lyle, Dawn, and one or two other kids whose names currently escape me. I mean, I only really talked to Jack, Taylor, and Nick.. and Benny. But, it was pretty cool anyway. Acoustic shows are both more fun than regular stuffs and not as much, in my opinion.
Mostly because, you can still talk without having to really scream. Okay, you still have to shout a bit or get close.. but it's a lot more, especially at this tiny 'club' sorta 'bar' place, friendly. I mean, you just feel like you're hanging out. So, we traded silly banter for most of the night and the day before tht Taylor and I hung out.. It was both fun and gay. We worked out (the gay part), played Halo, and mostly just chit-chatted for a few hours before chillin'.
I had a good time. On Thursday, after the show, we had some vietnamese (wow, I spelled that wrong) food and it was.. good. I mean, the chicken was really freaking good. The rest of it was like.. o.o
I mean, it tasted like grass. Most of it. Except the chicken. Which was really good. Grass and very, very, very fresh vegetables. Some of them were tasty.. some of them not as much. But, hey.. it happens.
Tuesday's shoot didn't happen. That's okay. Glen had a baby. Named Charlie. That's pretty crazy. I'll be visiting up there soon.
I got a lot of work to do suddenly and I think I'm going to be late with it. Awesome. But, that's okay, too. I was hoping to shoot next weekend.. but I just realized I will be gone next weekend, so that's not happening. So it'll have to be the weekend after which means my project will be two weeks late instead of, ah, just one. But, hey.. it happens, right? It does. Don't question it.
