University degrees give a great base of knowledge but no practical experience. My marketing degree is all well and good, but when I first came out of uni with that piece of paper I drowned because my 3 years of study didn't prepare me for what it was actually going to be like in a marketing position.
If you're not wanting a career in something that REQUIRES you to have a degree (e.g. Civil Engineering or Law) then I'd suggest Tafe, polytechs or (presumably) this Academy that you talk about. If you want to work in Music Management I'd def do this Diploma and if you feel your business side isn't strong enough, you could do a business course to augment it.
Here's something that was said to me when I dropped out of uni at age 20 (after two years, one in which I failed every course I took) and it's something I say to Toy repeatedly - "you're only 20. you don't NEED to know what you're doing with your life, you don't NEED that degree right now. University will be there in a year, 5 years 20 years time if you want it."
Think about this: If you continue this degree and find it's useless at the end of it, then that's a further two years wasted and you're back at the same place you were at the end of high school... if you change direction NOW then you're not wasting any more time.
Perhaps you could find and call someone who has the job you want and ask what they'd recommend. People don't mind answering questions like that to students.
This is a hard decision... I've been where you are, unmotivated, unsure and debilitated by a fear of "failure". Take your time and do what feels right for you... what's going to work for you. Good luck! :D
