Louis signed the documents. I signed the documents. They transferred a swathe of property and financial interests from Louis to myself, effectively cutting some of the tangible ties between us.

Moments later, I had him on the desk, his teeth firmly latched into my throat.

Louis won't be here for hours yet. He's coming by train with Nicki in tow. I'm not overjoyed by the idea of Nicki in London but he'll behave. It's not in his best interest to peeve me.

I've been with my darling Juliet. Away from the madness.

The house is a ghastly mess but the work to restore it is in full swing.

It's such a joy to see her. She is all sweetness and quiet strength. She brings me back to myself again and I can't adore her more.
