I totally agree with reason # 247, btw. I read a lot of fic that isn't really good, because sometimes it's got an interesting idea, or an interesting pairing, or - well, an interesting *something*, but it's kinda difficult to say "I read your story because there was this interesting bit, but I can't say anything positive, because ouch, pain, horror". And yet that is still nicer than telling someone that you laughed your way through their drama/darkfic/whatever.
(the most entertaining thing I read this year was this long LotR epic where it *starts* with Legolas getting preggers from Gimli and Frodo from Sam. And everyone loves them and supports them (except for Legolas' father, who's TehMean!!). And then they go settle someplace, with a mystic really really old elf hanging around, and Pippin would really really really love to have a baby, too, and what do you know, he gets pregnant. And then they all have their babies, and Ellthingie and Elrotherthingie show up and want to live there, too, because they do the mad incest. BUt they find a Mary Sue who will have their baby (I think it might even be twins, one from each). And then Gimli's father shows up, and soon, he's getting together with the mystic really really old elf. And tells Legolas to call him 'papa'. And *then*, there's a mad mystical wave of something, and that makes Galadriel preggers from Celeborn (and lemme tell you, I was so disappointed it wasn't Celeborn getting preggers there), Elrond preggers from Glorfindel (E is the sub in their D/s relationship, btw), and Gandalf gets preggers from a OMElfC. And all the babies are super-special and full of magic powers. And actually, one of them - at age 1 or so - has already said that she'll "fix" Legolas' daddy.
I really should see if more of part 4 of this epic is out.
(stories like that are the reason I stay on the mpreg Y!G...)
