I'm working on checking my link pages again, the essay and rant ones this time, and it's like being visited by the ghosts of kerfuffles past. Feedback, Mary Sues, recs, RPF, how to write smut, mpreg, death stories, fanon, and so on, and so on, and on and on and on. It's kind of fun. Sometimes you can tell by the dates who started ranting in response to whom, and then a year goes by and someone else raises the issue again; it's like fandom's annual rings.
