I like evening walks in the summertime, there's always something fun to look at: flowers, deer, semaphore-eared hares munching at other people's lettuce. Came home and settled into eating strawberries and wandering back in my lj to find a post that I must have tagged badly... and hey, look, yesterday was my five-year lj anniversary! Happy 'versary to me, and I guess I'll call these slightly mushy strawberries celebration food. And to think that I thought lj was just a passing fad. You know, like the internet.
Anyway, I get the impression I used to be chattier, in a fannish way, and more meta-prone, too. Somehow I got out of the habit of posting just to say omg fannish love object so gorgeous or whatever. I have a theory about that, actually. With my current tv fandoms, I like to watch the show and be unspoiled for it, and that cuts down on the ways I interact with other fans of the same source, and occasionally (as when waiting for a new season) makes me downright hermit-like.
Popslash was different. It's kind of hard to be spoiled for reality, for one thing. But I don't suppose it'll bring out spoiler-eager bunnies in droves if I make the occasional post to the effect that omg Sam Winchester so gorgeous or omg Dean has the cutest nose or omg Jack needs to take off more clothes or whatever.
So that's my deep thought of the day. More Jack Harkness, less clothing. And I wonder if these strawberries would be improved by some sugar.
