Ooh. So, not only did
pentapus write
DVD commentary for Over the hills and far away, with illustrations, but
nopseud wrote
DVD commentary for Why do birds sing so gay, with sound effects.
I'm just thrilled to bits. It's like getting early Christmas presents. I've never been able to write DVD commentaries for my own stuff, because I can't think of a single useful thing to say, and I'm more interested in finding out what other people see in the text, anyway. (My own comments would probably be along the lines of, "and here I stared at the wall for half an hour and played three games of sudoku, and here I had to go for a walk, and this is the bit where I pitched a drama-queen fit in chat about my complete inability to write, and this is the bit where...")
Also I have soccer glee, since Sweden was great against a not-so-great Spain, Saturday night. w00t!
I was introduced to a new series of books by Anthony Horowitz during my trip, and I just have to say that
after seeing Matt and Richard break up and get back together all through book two, I may have a new yuletide fandom. But I strongly suspect it's a fandom of one, so far.
The weather has been decidedly odd. I never thought t-shirt/skirt/sandals would be the thing to wear in London in October. It's a bit cooler here at home, though, so I may actually have to start wearing shoes even when it isn't raining, which I haven't done since April.
*goes to figure out where to fit in new books on the shelves*
