LJ, is really not that frequented anymore, is it?
It is still my favorite site, but I am less on the internet in general and ever since I don't have to say that much about Buffy anymore, I don't manage to post much.
Anyway, I thought I'd post briefly about the second season of Orange, which I completely wolfed down on the long weekend. (
beware the spoilers )

Plus the puns through the season were pretty cool! And some secondary characters were just perfect, like Gloria not wanting anything to do with the war between Red and Rosa but ultimately taking part.

I was so afraid that it would have to be Tasty and this way it all cleaned up nicely.
Gloria was very cool this season.
Mendez little cameo was weird. I wonder where that plot will go next season. I guess this season covered way less time than the last one, so that they can have five seasons and still be inside Piper's sentence.

And what you said before about Pensatucky, it's was weird, like Piper gave her a personality change along with the concussion, but I liked her role this season, off center, but nice. And the gay agenda thing was hilarious.

I found Riley's plot not half bad this season. With him using the inmates as his own way of playing therapy. That was such a weird abuse of power. Yet so credible.
I think it was good that they let Pensatucky fade a bit to the background, even if it felt a bit off.

Nice to see you, though.

Sorry for being around so little and commenting so rarely. I'm mostly lurking these days. But LJ is still my favorite corner of the net.
I'm always late for the GoT discussion, because I watch it with a bunch of friends usually on thursday. And also last week was positively traumatic for me. I didn't remember that the viper died so horribly and I didn't like Oberyn Martell so much in the books.

There isn't actually a lot to say about the latest episode, but do chime in on my post after you've watched it.

But that deathscene was really horrible. I saw it in my head for days after I watched it. I have not been so affected by violence on tv ever since I was kid and I could really do without that.
I will jump in the second I've seen it the episode. :)

I finished it the other day, and I quite liked it, though I thought this season felt more "written" than season 1, if you know what I mean - as if they had resolved so much of the original conflict in season 1 and now had to invent a basic plot for the season with a big bad, a classic plot, etc. But hey, for the most part I thought it worked really well and served most of the characters - and I love that Piper gets pushed to the background.
And Rosa's final scene was just beautiful.

I agree about the whole thing feeling more plotted. I guess they could not draw so much from the book anymore and had to come up with there own continuous storyline.
But I liked it. Vee was one creepy villain and I liked the way it shifted the power dynamics around and put other characters on center stage.
I actually liked Piper much more this season, now that she took a step back and worked on bringing down Fig. I feel so sorry for Kaputo and all his good intentions, I wonder which horrible person they will pull out of the hat as his new Boss next season.
