Sadly I only ever seem to have time to write when most of LJ is on holiday but I'm still very glad I got to spend some quality tv time today. Season 2 is neat isn't it?

Read more...(no book spoilers, except what was different in the books in this episode) )

I've just got around to watching it. I see from the comments that quite a few things have been changed. I'm sorry about Rakharo. I suppose if there's a need for the character, they'll have to develop one of the other two bloodriders Dany sent out instead? At least he got that nice little scene with her in ep 1.

No opinion about Stannis/Melisandre sex. It made sense to me in the context, and it did seem to be all about Stannis wanting an heir.

The Ros scene was just gratuitous nastiness. I hope there won't be any more.

But that is the only scene I didn't like. Loved the rest of it. And Asha. I'll remember that. I didn't catch her name while watching.

Yeah, I understand the actor got a better offer, so I guess there can't be anything done about. It's not like Rakharo does much, but he is always there.

I guess with the heir thing it makes more sense. And people tell me it is implied in the books. But I really can't remember.

Ros is a waste of space. And they already have to little space.

Asha is one of my favs. I also really liked the actress they picked for her.

I've picked up elsewhere that they've changed the character's name. Is that correct?

I just looked it up and yes, apparently so. I just figured I hadn't heard the name properly (I usually miss some stuff if I watch without subtitles (which I find annoying)).

They named her Yara, no idea why?

ETA: Google helps as always, apparently Asha sounded too much like Osha, so they renamed her not to mix up the two.

Oh yes. I think that's what I heard too.
