I'm trying the "Play It Now" option on Netflix in an effort to pare down the perpetually maxed out queue, and last night the BBC period mini-series North and South was on tap.
The plot is more or less the same you will find in any random Harlequin novel: fish-out-of-water heroine meets hot, brooding hero and myriad contrived misunderstandings ensue. I truly hate "convenient" misunderstandings as a plot device, and at least twice per episode I had to yell at the main female character:
"But he's Richard Armitage! RICHARD ARMITAGE! You can't (insert random clichéd manipulation) Richard Armitage!!"
