Okay...here's my post on our great Thanksgiving. First of all, my mom and dad came into town on Nov 20th. Kelly was able to take the whole week of Thanksgiving off. We did some shopping and we went to Disney World w/my parents. We had a blast. My mom was so excited to see Disney World through her granddaughter's eyes. It was a fantastic day. My Uncle Jerome, his girlfriend Lynn and my cousin Hailie all came up here from Palm Beach Gardens for T Day. T Day was wonderful. I haven't spent it w/my parents since 1995. We were sooooo thankful to all be together again! We started our eatting with appetizers. I made yummy mexican cheese dip and mini quiches. We made a 20 lb turkey (of course), green bean casserole, Kelly made his famous mashed potatoes, I made sugar carrots, home made stuffing (Nannies recipe...delish), sweet potato crunch, we had rolls, romaine salad, and fruit salad. I made 2 homemade pumpkin pies....everyone raved about them. My secret is in the spice...Kelly loves it really spicy! And we bought a HUGE apple pie from Sam's. We also had cookies. Everything was sooooo delish!! I'm sure there was more, I just cannot remember. My family and our friends called all day and night to wish us a happy turkey day. It was an amazing day all around. Kelly and I were the only ones who got up to go shopping on Black Friday. No one wanted to be out and about that early. It's a tradition for Kelly and I...we go shopping the Friday after turkey day every year. It was nice to be able to leave Kaelyn at home and have a nice morning to ourselves. We got a pretty late start. We went to bed late so we did NOT feel like waking up incredibly early. We didn't leave our house til around 6:30. The one thing I wanted soooo badly was a bald baby cabbage patch kid. They had them at Wal Mart. Oh, and I should mention that I wanted one for ME...not for Kae or Andi...LOL!! I was one of the first cabbage patch kid owners! My parents battled other parents for my little cabbage patch kid in 1983. I had a preemie too! LOL! Of course they were all sold out by the time we got to Wal Mart. Kelly knew I was bummed so he went searching all over the store. He managed to find me a HIDDEN one. That's my babe!!
I'll update more later...gotta run now!
