(no subject)
my heats no longer on.
and the elevator is broken.
and everytime I try and use my oven (usually as a way to warm my living room) my fire alarm goes off.
and two of the burners on my stove no longer work.
and I have gotten locked in the lobby of my building three times now.
and i cannot get ahold of my landlord.
I pay too much for this.
I have slept on couches for the last two nights and am smelly and tired and now have to go to work.
emily and I spent 9 hours trying to do her homework, getting distracted, tipsy and completely unmotivated along the way. but then we finally went to DUMBO, the very, very western edge of brooklyn. there is a park with huge, three foot steps along the water, next to an abandoned warehouse. on one side of this park is the Manhattan bridge, the other is the brooklyn bridge and in between is the entire Manhattan skyline. we sat and sipped jack daniels and giggled while she sketched her homework. and it was the most, most beautiful night. mountain ranges at sunset have fucking nothing on that skyline.
on a side note, her grandparents live in a house that is literally the size of linworth. 19 rooms, 8 bedrooms, a million bathrooms, 3 full floors and a completely furnished basement. I want to marry her grandfather.
