Like I mention somewhere in BT comm, since early 90s Acchan has established the cultural archetype of "dark, decandent, angsty, long dark hair bikei man/demon/vampire/whatever" ^^;; and has been an inspiration ever since. Familiar with 小林智美 (Kobayashi Tomomi)? She's an illustrator for novels since 80s (mostly of Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Historic and Tanbi genre, author such as 田中芳樹, etc.). Her style is somewhat similar to Yoshitaka Amano. Though her most mass-appeal works are illustrations for Squaresoft (one of Japanese leading video game company)'s RPG series Romancing Saga (on Super Nintendo) and Saga Frontier (Playstation) series. I'm an old school gamer and I'm a huge fan of the former (and hated the later). She's also a huge B-T fan (Acchan fangirl), who would always sneaks in Acchan here and there in her works.^^; Basically all her demon/satan/vampire characters that have long dark hair = Acchan. I have her doujinshi too (it's Acchan x Uta XD).
Check out her website
Kobayashi Tomomi Official Website For those too lazy to look thru her site, she posts her drawings of B-T here and there:
Acchan in that ridiculous LonginusAcchan and ImaiAni and AcchanAcchan and UtaAcchan and HideAcchan This looks like Acchan as well Huge graphics undercut, BEWARE!
In her website she mentioned which of her "Saga" characters were based on Acchan. Here they are (please excuse the poor wrapped images as I took them with digital camera).
Romancing Saga 2 final boss Wagnus
This guy is the NASTY nasty final boss that gave the young me lots of nightmare, the game graphics looks nothing like this! "It" looks like a freakish monster in the game.
Romancing Saga 3's vampire Leonid What he really look like in the game --->
.
A join-able vampire character that I'd always get into my party, despite his major flaws: his HP will never exceed number 666 and he can't be cured (so if he get hurt he need to suck HP from fellow members to cure himself, which made him actually more deadly than enemies x-D). If he dies, he turn to dust instantly and cannot be revived. He's also extremely vulnerable to light magic. Also he can't learn any magic (=a wasted spot in your party to learn something valuable). But these downsides didn't prevent me from using him all the time. XD His advantage is that he's completely immune to all kinds of nasty charms and spells, and for those who ever played these games knew how insanely DIFFICULT is to learn how to dodge these charms...
Saga Frontier 1...forgot his name Another freakish boss that looks nothing like the illustrations XD
