So there's gossipy goodness about Jessica Simpson thinking about adopting a child. That just scares the bejeezus out of me, although I mean really she could have popped out however many of her own she wanted to by now. I've truly known more stupid people that made decent parents...but it's still scary!
I managed to get everything done for this week that I HAVE to get done, but I'll admist that I'm really slacking on things that I should be working on. I think I might take some stuff home with me today...just some writing or whatever. Work at home sucks though.
D made a 97 on his latest calc II exam! I'm so proud :) I was trying to convince him he should see about working for the tutoring center on campus over the summer, so he won't forget stuff, but I don't know if he really wants to. I went to lunch with his parents the other day and his mom told him they'd help out with his school stuff, even after we're married, which is very cool :)
More cool:
-I found a decent photographer from a town ~ 1 hr from where the wedding will be that has packages starting at $900, with all digital and you getting the copies of the pictures on CD-rom, which is really what we want. Other things go up from there, but it's totally customizable, and her stuff looks how I'd want it to look. At least it's something to check into.
-Also, d talked to his uncle, who plays in a really popular local cover band that does stuff from the 60's-90's. I saw them one night and they really are great, and do a little bit of everything. He said they normally charge about $1500 for a wedding, but he'll talk to the bandmates and see what they'd be willing to do for us. At most it'd be about $1200 (taking away the uncle's fee)...AND d's parents have offered to pay for that, since it would be supporting the family and all. So I may get a band! The uncle would also do the sound for all of the wedding.
- Our friend agreed to be our officiant, and is all excited and already coming up with things to say. His gf is very poetic and spiritual, and they are pulling in some secular and spiritual (but non-denominational) things to blend together. She about freaked out (in a good way) when she found out that I LOVE e.e. cummings, so I think it'll work out well.
