down with..
Ergh. The power unit in my computer exploded yesterday within my CPU, taking out my RAM and hard disk. According to the IT guy I probably crammed too many things in the extended power socket (guilty) so the power unit finally gave out. Strangely I remain blase about the whole thing -- my computer had died many times over the past and I long ago have had my stuff in there deleted/reformatted to info-heaven. Never bothered with replacing them, though. And we're talking things like mp3's, cv's, photos, etc. Much as I find it inconvenient having to redownload (just kidding, internet police!) and redo them, I didn't feel any real pain in their loss and even less now. I think -- I'm down with machine ennui.
