“No,” Rui Xi said.
“Yes,” Xiu Yi said at the same time. Rui Xi hit his arm.
wee. :(( You write Xiu Yi so well. Everything he does is so like, manga-esque and theatrical in this. I could totally see it all playing out in an episode. (WHY DIDN'T THEY HAVE A DATE EPISODE??? Oh... right... the whole... oh. Alas.) He's so great and awkward. "Is there something wrong with the popcorn" and Rui Xi being all preoccupied with thoughts of Quan the whole time. So sad, so good. And I love the last two lines!! Poor Xiu Yi and his gayngst. :( ♥♥
(Ok, so in my head, Senior Nan was secretly stalking them on their date and followed them into that movie, right? Right? >.> OT3?)

Yeah, Senior Nan stalked them and then chatted up a random chick to go to the theater. I mean, such a smooth operator would NOT take a girl to a lesbian movie had it not been spontane. Otherwise the girl might get some ideas or something.
Gayngst. <333

It had been fun, despite the fact that Xiu Yi had kept trying to court her, and the fact they'd paid movie tickets to nap for 2 hours. Xiu Yi had made it fun. She was always comfortable with him - even when he tried to convince her of their magical love fate, she knew he wouldn't actually ever go beyond hugging her.
He smiled at her and she smiled back, knowing she shouldn't give him ideas because things were bad enough as it was, knowing she shouldn't give him hope. But she looked up at him and his eyes almost shone with love and then she didn't think and just.
Just as friends. But she didn't say it, standing tiptoe and planting a light kiss on his cheek.
She opened the door behind her and went in, leaving him standing holding his cheek as if he'd been slapped.
It hadn't been her smartest move but she wasn't very smart to begin with.

On a more serious note, that was adorable and wee and I loved it. Poor Xiu Yi. :( Even though I'm a big{ger} Rui Xi/Quan shipper, I really feel for him. He's so earnest. Man, I love this show more than anyone really should.

This is the first fic I've made it through to the end in over 2 years! :)
OMG huge compliment. If you at all care to read what I previously wrote in the same fandom: http://fivil.livejournal.com/313719.html (naturally not obligating you to read it in any way)

He really is. I think everyone should support his gayness. It's beautiful, like a single, naive snowflake. Of gay.
I was looking for that the other day! I bookmarked it to read and them must have deleted the bookmark on accident. This will give me something to read tomorrow night. Yay!
