For sure! I agree with most of this! Except that I don't think the end was too much, because the whole show was too much, and they managed to temper the utter despair and romance with hilarity, and that's great. Can I friend you? I know almost no one who watches Green Wing and therefore no one understands when I say GAH, Guy in a kilt!

Sure, you can friend me. Though now that GW's over (wahh!) I suppose I won't post about it too much, but I do occasionally have some random fic inspirations for it and the like..

The ending.. I'm really quite undecided. On one hand I sat there thinking, "Oh God, they *can't* end it bizarrely like that!" and "How cheesy!" but on the other hand, yes, you're right, the show in itself is too much, very over the top, crazy, whacky, but wonderful & funny at that.

So glad that this promo picture finally has an explanation. And also? HOT.

That's all I really need to tide me over, a bit of a mention now and again. I won't post about it that much either, but hey, at least someone understands!

The bit with the balloons I thought was a bit over the top, but quite in keeping with the general tone, so I went with it. Oh, Green Wing. I'll miss you.

Hot is right! He's got nice legs, he has. I hope he wears a kilt again in the reunion special (wishful, wishful thinking that there will ever be another episode).

Oh, reunion! Totally didn't think of that. Maybe. Possibly. With Mac back as a ghost. Or his own evil twin or something. Okay, that's one insane plot vehicle. But it could be used. In theory, anyway.

And yeah, what can I say, am a total Guy fangirl anyways. A sucker for bastards. :D

I love, love, love Guy. I can never quite figure out which one I like better.

If they did have a reunion special, I'm voting for an offscreen miracle (à la two mysterious ambulance rescues) and a three-way marriage and some babies. BABIES.

I pretty much love both, as well, but in different ways. If I had to be a male character from GW, I'd definitely be Mac (apart from the dying thing) because he's just so cool and clever and would get laid easily and yeah, he's awesome. But if I had to go out with a character, it'd be Guy. Bastard charm, ah.

I wish the whole Mac/Caroline/Guy dynamic was less "fighting over a girl", though. Otherwise I'd totally support a 3way marriage. But as I see it now, Guy can go and find love in someone else. One day he'll realize he and Sue White are meant to be. OR SOMETHING.

By the way, noticed the Hindi in your LJ name. Bollywood w00t.

Yeah, but there are some slashy lovey tensions between Mac and Guy now and again. Guy just pretends not to have feelings, but he flirts with Mac in a way, and they're clearly really fond of each other despite everything. I think a three-way marriage could work as long as Guy learned not to drink from the orange juice carton as they had a really big bed.

I'd date either of them! Hot!

Bollywood woot indeed! I studied abroad in India and I miss it viciously.

Guy&Mac, yeah, totally something there beyond the usual rivals-best friends thing. And there's been so many funny slashy hints, like Guy saying, "Mac kisses like a dead fish" (or something like that) and then adding, after a pause, "..I've been told." And once to Sue White, "I know that because I watch him when he showers." - uhh, okay, Guy. Man, why do I know these from heart? Anyway, yeah, I think in theory they'd be a great OT3 in that all of the pairings are just so *there*. Though in practise it might be difficult for the guys to stop competing over Caro and start sharing her. :D

That's cool! There are ways to access it in the US, though. Don't know about seeing it in theaters, that sort of depends on the area, but there's Netflix for renting action and Nehaflix if you're willing to just buy DVDs to watch them.

A newt! Mac kisses like a newt. Guy also asked Mac if he dreamed about him in the coma (in a Swiss chalet, with Guy rubbing chocolate over Mac) and there was that time in surgery when he talked about how Mac slept with him in college. And I think in practice (or at least with practice) it would be very easy for them to share her. I think they'd be a good team. Ahem. Brain overloading from the hot.

I am aware of the ways to get to Bollywood in the U.S.! I have used many of them. The theatres in my area don't show them, but I rent or buy or make my friends bring them back from trips home. Yes! Life is good.

Ohhh yes, newt it was! And yeah, Guy bragged once, "I've slept with both of you" and Mac responded, "No, you haven't." I can't remember how the scene continued but it was fairly established that it had probably (sadly?) only been a fantasy. And of course, Mac's wrestling dream. And now we've got the pub scene, guhh, not really slashy but wonderful all the same.

Yeah, that was the bit in surgery I was talking about. And yeah, it was a fantasy, but a well thought out one. A little bit too well thought out, as Caro pointed out.

Mmm, wrestling dream. Mmm, various hugs and manly shoulder pats. Mmmm, wrestling on the tables in the canteen after Guy was a bastard about Martin's exam results. I think it could work. Guy will sleep with anyone.

Hahaha, I think it'd just be hilarious. I once ficced them kissing and afterwards I could easily see them bashing each other's kissing skills in that typical rivalry way of theirs, so I wrote it like that.

And yeah, Guy's kind of a slut. He'd probably go on about lowering his standards for Mac a lot and Mac would ignore him.

Yeah, Mac would either ignore him or shut him up with kisses. I could go either way on that question.

Or both!

Mac and Guy both do have their own ways of wearing down resistance. And then kissing people when it's not quite expected. I don't think Caro would mind, really, as long as they both kept kissing her too.
