Completely Random Points of Love
- "I love you!" "I love you, too." Okay, GW writers. Stop the torture. Stop the torture. I'm serious. I hate you. I love you. Gah. Caroline/Mac liek forever omg. Get together? Please?
- Alan/Boyce could not get any slashier if it tried, I swear to god. "Take it back!" LOVE omg.
- Small things: Chinese take out has a sign that says "No pompous twats!". Human Resources office games. Guy randomly pulling (literally!) a nurse with him. Martin's "What's a fluffer?" (followed by the killer from Boyce: "Come on, I'll show you"). Martin's "A penny for your thoughts?".
- Martin being an arsehole but being a funny one at that. I cracked up so bad at his post-"Shall we have an open relationship?" "I ..love you!". Men, hahahah.
- Mac in this episode, overall lovelovelove. His scene with Sue White? PRICELESS. I love how he's being charming and yet weirded out and grossed out by Sue at the same time. And the tiny Caroline/Mac (no, I refuse to call it Carmac) moments, guhh aww love YES. Lovely, lovely stuff.
- Oh, Guillame. From duck CPR (and the Swiss flag pontoons on his sleeves) to "That should have not been erotic", LOVE. It should not be as funny as it is, when he describes his testicles in the operating room because that's just so him and it's not new at all but it still kills me. And the scene with him and Joanna in the car. Speaking of family love, his scene with Martin was ace, too. "This huits me." "It's going to huit me as well, isn't it?"
- Therapy guy strikes back! "We can probably just pop those back on." I love this guy.
- Alan making Joanna jealous (well, trying to) is still hilarious.
- I think Guy may actually fancy Caroline, in a really weird sort of way. All the signs seem to be there, really. Thinking about marrying her, dude! And then he gropes her at the bar. It's most likely all meaningless but still. Yay for my guilty pleasure OTP.
- Thank God they got Angela out of the show - AND she was actually tolerable in this episode! I loved the final Caroline+Angela moment: "You're the perfect girlfriend!".
General Thoughts
This show was kind of painful to watch because of the plot happenings, with the tape and Sue White and everything. But it got so much better towards the end and I really ended up enjoying it.
I think in a way this show has changed in a very natural way due the course of S1 and now S2. What I mean is that it has grown, it's become more character-based, more plot-based, there are still random gags but you sort of notice them all in their context. Or something. I don't know, I still love it.
Fuck it, I'm making a GW tag. And I'm friending the GW comm again. I think I'll de-friend it every Friday and then add it back whenever I've managed to see the episode. Just because of spoilers. :/
