Reason #6791 why I refuse to even attempt to write a certain Cara/Kahlan fic for The Ridiculous Porn Lady of Dunstan a certain person:
This lady here dreamed she was playing Mortal Kombat, as one sometimes does, and for whatever reason she took too long to start the fight, so the screen dimmed and she's thinking, "WTF Fatality? No one even started fighting." But this is not just any Fatality, oh no, this is the special one I bet you didn't even know existed, the one where Shao Kahn calls the Mother Confessor to finish your character. PERFECTLY PLAUSIBLE.
But wait, now how long could this take this is not where it gets weird. After this perfectly plausible... Confessionality (???) one is no longer playing video games, but watching an incredibly complicated plot unfold (still in the Outworld.) You see, someone knocked up the Mother Confessor, and there will be an audience about it, and this has Very Complicated repercussions possibly related to prophecy. So Cara someone is torn between doing The Right Thing and...something else I can't remember. There was a reason Cara should just let this be and not tell anyone she was the father, though.
What I do remember is that, no matter what Cara choose (lol ~choose your destiny~) she couldn't win because the Keeper and the Creator were secretly conspiring together (to... steal the baby? I DON'T KNOW.) I wish I could remember more details, but, like, 30 minutes of that dream were just me ~gazing at the walls around my grandmother's home and realizing those elemental symbols from Soul Reaver 2 were painted there. Yeah.
So this, children, is why I will never write that fic. I think you'll agree it's for the best.
Possibly, this is what happens when you manip ridiculous Cara/Kahlan right before going to bed, but I think we'll also all agree that placing the blame elsewhere is more fun and burns more calories. :D?
