In defense of his suggestion, it's not as though there's a feasible way to post bail.

Besides, in the time until the decision is passed, zero might actually be the safest place for the accused.

Hid him in my cabin, and told Arthas he was going to have to deal with me if he attacks Nygma. Told Nygma to not attack Arthas.

As you can see, it didn't work too well.
