Hi. I have about 15 minutes before I need to start getting ready for work, but I figured now would be as good a time to update as any.
Yesterday was my 23rd birthday. That's fucking crazy.
It was a nice day, though. I spent the better part of the afternoon with David, playing Cake Mania on my new bronze DSi XL (a gift from him). Playing Cake Mania is one of the best and most addictive things ever. When I wasn't playing Cake Mania I was doing New York Times Crosswords or playing with my Nintendogs Dachshund Peanut. <3
Around noon yesterday I got a delivery from the Edible Arrangements man too; David's mom, Virginia, bought be a very large bouquet of chocolate-dipped strawberries. I finished off the last six or so strawberries this morning for breakfast. <3
Last night, although I'd sent David home, Emily (vividlyemily), Anna {freedomisapen), Ari (6655threetwoone), Wey, and Jessi (servavii) -- pretty much all my best friends -- threw me an impromptu surprise dinner! Emily and I had made plans, so she and her roommate Anna picked me up. And, when we got to Olive Garden, Ari, Wey, and Jessi were in the back of Jessi's decorated(!) truck! They gave me a Disney princesses balloon and cards and a few gifts. I cried a little; no one has ever done anything like that for me before. <3
I also got a very pretty birthday card in the mail today from a Miss Cynthia Kaminsky (paperairplane87). She is in Pittsburgh and undoubtedly enjoying herself, as it is her birthday present. (She is 13 days my senior.) <3
My sister (and nephew) got me a $15 gift card to iTunes, so I rented Bee Season from iTunes and watched that last night. I also rented Akeelah and the Bee, Atonement, and Idiocracy. I'll watch one or more of those tonight.
Well, I have to go get ready for work and probably give my nephew his birthday card -- he turns the big 1-4 today. <3
I have more to catch up on, but it has to wait. Warning: it's not so cheerful.
