The Day Before September 11th

So, yesterday was my 21st birthday. Since all of my friends are either under-age or out-of-state, I ended up flying solo. My night was probably what most would consider disappointing, but I enjoyed it well enough. My plan was to go to the Bell-in-Hand, a place that purports to be the oldest bar in America. We have that same policy but as long as you don't cause a ruckus then you should get away with a couple bottles.

Well, I'm sorry the first bar was less-than-special, but I'm stoked you enjoyed the Manhattan... and even more so that they let you get away with an expired ID. By the way, did you go with the Maker's Mark or the Jack Daniels ( ... )

Heh, but the time I got there, I forgot the name of the brand Ryan suggested, so I just went with Jack Daniel's.

Oh, and one more thing: Remember these two words: HAPPY HOUR!!!
Find out when and where the bar specials are happening on Union Street or where ever, and keep an eye out for "$2 U-Call-It" nights. Then you get to say, "Jack and ginger" or "Captain and coke" or "Grey Goose and lemonade" or "Magellan and tonic" or "Crown on the rocks" and pay a mere $2. Well, it ends up being $3 since you tip every time (at the bar.) But still, it's a really inexpensive way to experiment. I mean, god forbid you buy a $30 bottle of liquor and find out you don't like it! That would be tragic with a capital T!
Oh my goodness we are going to have so much fun come Christmas time!
