In Siberia, not cold!

I don't have much time to write because my friends are waiting for me to go shop for Russian style clothes. I finally figured out why the girls all wear such high heels...they do it to avoid the mud! We are also trying to find a place to buy tickets to the DDT concert.
In general, I like it here just fine. My host mother is a very nice, but quiet woman. This is apparently unusual for a Russian woman. She is a chemist and has a daughter, who speaks Spanish, English, and Russian (of course.) I have to get used to eating cucumbers, because they appear to be my only vegetable (that and tomatoes, but those are technically fruits...)
My only regret right now is that I did not pack enough things to wear. It isn't that cold here yet, so I feel totally lost (and boring) when I get dressed in the morning.
I have decided, however, that everyone should come to Russia at some point in their lives (and not just visit St. Petersburg and Moscow.)
