I had a great time in Jacey Bogg's spinning class. 
I don't really have any yarn to show for it but am inspired to spin more.
I hope it doesn't take me as long to learn her techniques
as it did for me to learn to spin. 
That being said, why do something you can already to well when there's so much out there to learn?

I've been trying to use a drop spindle for years with no success.
In need of an innovative idea for work,
I picked it up again last week to give it another go.
To my surprise,
I could finally spin with a drop spindle.

I attended ROC Day at the Pineallas County Heritage Center in Largo, FL on Jan. 10. 
In many European cultural traditions, women resumed their household work after the twelve days of Christmas. The distaff, or rock, used in spinning was the medieval symbol of women's work.

I have joined Tour de Fleece 2007.
Here's my pile of wool roving I dyed. I think it turned out pretty nice. I'm spinning it along with cotton thread - something I've never done before. I have 3 weeks to finish it.
As a warm up, I actually went out and rode 50 miles on my bicycle.
