What Body Type Are You?

I've posted this before. I like to post it every couple of years to refresh long term members and to be informative to new members. Below are the varieties of body types that occur in the female population. Most of these are dead-on. But please note that there can be slight differences inside each description. For instance, in the T-Frame, the type says "full breasts." This is not always true. T-Frames can also be small busted. The categories are just saying that GENERALLY speaking T-Frames have large chests, but that's not always a defining characteristic. The position of fat on your body is really the defining characteristic. A T-Frame is anyone who carries the majority of their weight from the waist up. A T-Frame always has thin or shapely legs and a flat bottom.

Also, it's important to note that once a body goes from over-weight to obese and beyond, the body fat positioning become distorted because the frame is carrying so much weight that the true underlying pattern can be lost. For instance, a T-Frame can look like an H-Frame if it becomes truly obese. If you have say 40lbs or more to lose, it's possible that you may not be able to pinpoint your actual frame type until you begin to lose weight.

I think it's important to understand your Body Type. It prevents you from having unrealistic expectations. For instance, if your favorite actress is an I frame and you are A frame, you will never achieve her look. It's best to look for role models who have the same body type as yourself so your goal is reachable.

A FRAME= Medium to large bone structure; wide hips relative to shoulders width; full thighs; tendency to have lower body fat patterning; slow to moderate metabolism. Example: Jennifer Lopez. (can morph to an O once true obesity occurs)

H FRAME= Medium to large bone structure; broad shoulders; thick waist; full thighs and hips; nearly equal proportion of lean muscle to body fat; possible tendency to gain weight in the abdominal and hip areas; moderate metabolism. Example: Serena Williams. (can morph to an O once true obesity occurs)

I FRAME= Small bone structure; lean limbs and trunk; little muscularity; low body fat; fast metabolism. Example: Calista Flockhart. (can morph to an H once true obesity occurs)

O FRAME= Large bone structure; wide hips; broad shoulders; full thighs, hips, and breasts; high percentage of body fat to lean muscle; slow metabolism. Example Nikki Blonsky. (an O is always an O)

T FRAME= Small to medium bone structure; shoulder width even with hips; wide shoulders; full breasts; tendency to gain body fat in the trunk; moderate metabolism. Example: Angelina Jolie.
(can morph to an H once true obesity occurs)

X FRAME= Small to medium bone structure; shoulder width even with hips; small waist; full breasts; tendency to gain body fat in the hips and thighs; moderate metabolism. Example: Salma Hayek. (can morph to an A once true obesity occurs)
