This is something I've been thinking about for a while now concerning the character of TODO 360 and its relation to Bane.
Do you think, purely from a storytelling perspective, they added it to add a balance to Bane's character? Obviously, Bane is one of the most meanest/violent characters in the series and it could be argued that Bane's first appearance was the thing that set the shift in mood for the series (though that in of itself is another observation for another time), but I've noticed that whenever TODO is around, Bane doesn't seem quite as 'over-the-top' as he is without him. He's still cold and ruthless, but not *quite* as much.
Cases in point: 'Hostage Crisis', 'Cargo of Doom' & 'Children of the Force' vs. 'Evil Plans', 'Holocron Heist' and 'Hunt for Ziro'.
Of course, Bane is -and always will be- a BAMF sonuvabitch but the banter between him and TODO kind of adds a levity to Bane's character that almost seems like it was a 'design by committee' to almost soften Bane's character a bit so the kiddies don't get too scared of him. But in a way, it works without making it seem like annoying comic relief and doesn't give Bane badass*decay.
Although FWIW, I love TODO. I can't stand Seth Green period (I 'X' through every conversation with Joker in 'Mass Effect' 1 & 2 as quick as I can) but there's something about the little scamp*droid that's oddly endearing.
p.s. Do you think TODO was able to steal back the Xanadu Blood? The mere mental image of it trying to fly that ship puts a nice grin on my face, hehe.
