[points to his recovering wound] You're in an awfully good mood for somebody who got staked with a boomerang. Who's the lucky victim this time?

Eh? No one, actually.

[follows his gaze] That little thing? Bah. That was nothing. Like my grandmother always said, you can't mope every time a chunk of metal gets lodged in your flesh.

No one? What's the cause of the let up, then?

[blinks at his last statement] Your grandmother must have been a very...interesting woman.

The rationing served its purpose of shaking some rebels into the open. Ah, you hadn't heard? Ocelot got to give their ringleader a good time. It was quite a show.

She was formidable.

[Johnny's brow creases, suddenly wary, and more than a little concerned.] Ocelot gave someone a "good time?" In my experience, that isn't necessarily a good thing. Who was this ringleader, anyway?

[Johnny tries his best not to look overly anxious about who he thinks it was.]

Naked Snake, that persistent little bastard who killed me. Tough one, too. He survived Ocelot's game.

[Johnny's furrows his brow at you!] You said he survived, so I'm guessing he has to be locked up now...

[He turns away, conflicted. He has no interest in standing against Volgin (especially the potential ramifications to his person it may incur), but neither does he feel right standing by him, either. This whole Soviet venture seemed like a bad idea from the start, and he's not comfortable with the violence erupting as a result from it. He chooses his words carefully, now.]

Everything will work out for the best, I suppose. [He doesn't add, "Whatever that may be."] I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

He's locked up and under guard. There's no way he's getting out.

To hell with waiting. I'll make the future with my own hands.
