Home... For like 22 hours!
F2 and GT Open were amazing. Utterly amazing.
As always the F2 puppies were adorable and lovely and kind of lived up to their puppy namings. This year we have adopted two puppies as our own -
Ramon Pineiro, because he was driving the brightest car IN THE WORLD (it got dubbed the highlighter pen by the circuit commentators and the TV commentators) and was adorable in the signing. I told him I loved his car and he was all *big grins* "I hope you have sunglasses" (I did. Pink Starkid ones. Oh yes. I am SO cool.). And he was so sweet on the podium and we've just adopted him.
Jack Clarke, because he was awesome. And cute. And when we said to him it was an awesome race on Saturday and we were cheering him on so much he was all "oh, you were here?" and I was like "we have been since Friday" and he was all smiley and "I'll make sure I wave on the slow down lap" (he didn't. BUT he did wave to us lot from the podium so he is totally forgiven!).
The races and quali's were so much fun as well.
The GT Open was also awesome. We will definitely be looking out for it on the TV from now on because it was great racing. Puppy and Puggy (Di Marco and Puglisi) did SO well and got a podium in both races :D
Entertainment award for the weekend goes to the #1 Ferrari, for spending SO much time in the gravel traps - I think it caused something like 4 red flags - mostly at Paddock or Druids. It was an ongoing joke for the circuit commentators. And us. Of course by Sunday when it was still visiting the gravel traps we were laughing while others around were like WTF? because they hadn't been there all weekend. It was like we had our own little in-jokes.
All the support races were lots of fun. Really great yesterday after the main races had done just finding a spot by the start-finish straight and just lazing in the sun, cars and commentary in the background, lovely and warm. Perfection. Like a picnic in the park with added horsepower.

Tomorrow we are off to the Isle of Wight for the second half of my Birthday Week :D
