Sleepy times
Last night = epic stuffs going down round here.

Around 9ish mum noticed a fire engine round the corner with big flood lights and everything on (the orange surrounded property, I think, by the amount of crap in the front garden at least). We were obviously curious, but didn't go looking. It was still there when I went to bed some when around 10 (I'm SO rock n' roll).
Half past ish mum comes up to me (to basically use my window for snooping) and there was two fire engines parked in the road outside ours (we are the red circled bit BTW). There was also a set of cones being set out blocking the road (St Johns) at the blue line. They also set up a cordon at the blue line on our road.
So yeah, we were WITHIN their cordon. Thanks for that guys. Also see people being escorted out of the houses on St Johns Road, and the cones moved further away.
Some when after 11 a (REALLY UGLY) fireman comes into our block and tells us all to close doors and windows and curtains until we are either told something else or when they do away. He then joked up to 3 weeks! But couldn't tell us why.
Cue much freaking out, and some laughter as we realise that we don't really have functional curtains in the lounge!
By midnight they had all gone thankfully.

Today mum found out what went down. There was a chimney fire at the house in question. Police arrived and saw something suspicious in the garden - a replica American bomb to be exact. Freaked the fuck out and called in everything. Up to and including the Bomb squad.
Being within the cordoned off area still freaks me out.
For the record, the purple bit is my old secondary school!
