Hair...where?
If you've cruised by Facebook or Myspace today, chances are good that you know how I spent my day. To give credit where it is due, Mikey helped. I shaved my head, as I have threatened to do for some time now. As Molly said, there aren't many people who shave their head when they are bored. But that's not the whole story. One of my chief philosophies of hair care is this: the less maintenance, the better. My usual short hairstyle is about as low-maintenance as it gets, but...well...if you don't have any hair, you don't need to do a thing with it. That's especially important, what with it being winter, because I employ a much-fashionable fleece hat as a means of surviving the Walk of Death between George Washington University-Foggy Bottom and Thomas Jefferson Street. Translation: hat hair. Also, let's face it. I've been looking at myself every day, several times a day, and sometimes you need a change to spice things up. I need a different texture to rub, a different sensation when the air hits my head, a different face in the mirror. So, this is how I roll:
